Macro shot

This was taken last year in June but never posted it anywhere. I found this tiny weed flower in our yard while mowing the lawn and kept it alive for a day in a glass of water before shooting a macro of it. A macro shot needs a lot of light to bring out the details and a steady camera to avoid blurs. Add to it a macro lens with a razor thin focus, you need a tripod and a way to shoot remotely. I use an Olympus E-M5 II camera. The lens is a Mitakon 85mm f/2.8 macro lens which sadly haven’t seen much use after taking this shot. The longer focal length helps to keep the camera at a distance from the object, giving me room to light up the scene by other means. The lens is a manual focus one which helps in taking macro shots but since I didn’t have any mechanism to finely control the forward movement of the lens, I was moving the glass very slowly to get the flower in focus. Whatever works right? Note the state of the art specialized lighting equipment - An iPhone 😄. Enjoy my setup and the final product.
